Rooms:average hostel beds, not terrible though, lockers in the room are quite small so you can only keep your important valuables. The showers and bathrooms were clean and plentiful, no problem there. The breakfast wasn't a buffet like most hostels but I'd say it was better none the less. The staff were very friendly and helpful : the saunas were very relaxing and a nice bonus

The city backpackers hostel is right in the heart of Stockholm, less than 10 minutes by foot from the central station. It comes at a very reasonable price and great staff. In the evenings, there is free pasta for everyone. Throughout the day (after 12pm), there's also free tea and coffee at the reception. The bedrooms are decent, every bed has a locker for securing your belongings (bring your own padlock). The showers are good, though it is a bit of a walk through the building depending on where your room is. Wifi (also free) works without a problem. There is a luggage room in case you're arriving early or leaving late. All in all, I was really satisfied with this hostel.

City Backpackers Hostel was acceptable but the place definitely needs some TLC. Things in general, especially the bathrooms, appear warn down. The bathrooms were sometimes out of soap or toilet paper and were definitely not cleaned very well. The bunk beds are from the famous Swedish big box flat-pack furniture store, so you will have to expect creaking and shaking every time you or your bunk mate moves or shifts in bed. The room I stayed in was quite large, but the acoustics meant the snoring of a roommate would reverberate throughout -- so keep ear plugs handy. The kitchen facilities were handy, though you can expect many (especially on weekends) pasta makers using the kitchen during dinnertime. I'm glad to say, without equivocation, that the Wi-Fi worked great. The location, as has been stated, is ideal for walking to some nearby districts and sites, for catching buses and for getting to Central Station. Most importantly, the price was right in an expensive city. If you don't mind putting up with some irritations, then you might find City Backpackers Hostel an acceptable place to stay, too.

Great location close to the central railway station. Also very close to plenty of shops and attractions. The rooms were very clean and beds were great. The hostel staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Stockholm.

A retro, funky hostel. They'd just started running a restaurant when I got there, which was nice. Good location, handy for a bus or train. Self service kitchens, and they do breakfast. Clean, no major issues to report. Wifi is available, but in some of the rooms it doesn't work very well (thick walls). In any event, they have PC's should you need them or the wifi fail you. I was a little noisy at times, but no worse than you'll get in any city centre hostel. Even then some of the rooms are still fairly quiet (the benefit of those thick walls!).

We have loved staying at City Backpackers. They have comfortable beds, a great kitchen, awesome hangout spaces, and really fun activities. The space is really trendy and the staff is great. Plus there's always some free pasta in the kitchen.

Very close from the stockholm central station. It is easy to find so you would never get lost!! I stayed at a dorm for 8 women which was big enough as well as it had a shower room and toilet inside the room. I would definitely stay here if I come to Stockholm again!!! Every staff is very kind as well. I highly recommend anyone staying here!!!

Si vous n'êtes plus un jeune étudiant et vous tenez à certaines commodités, je vous déconseille cet endroit. Les toilettes sont à partager, vous êtes obligé de mettre les draps du lit et de les enlever en partant. J'ai entendu les va-et-vient aux toilettes des gens ... Toute la nuit! Pour le prix d'une chambre vous risqueriez d'être déçu par les prestations. Les pièces communes sont sympa et décorées dans un style vintage. Vous avez le droit de boire du thé ou du café à volonté dans le hall d'entrée (point positif). Bonne localisation. Le personnel est super sympa et chaleureux ce qui me fait donner qlqs étoiles. Petit-déjeuner pour 50 SEK

I got a 12 person mixed gender room. Feels like dorming again, to be honest... people here are very welcoming and friendly, everything is clean. Every person gets a locker big enough to toss a backpack into, just bring your own locks. Location is central with easy access to public transit but the city itself is very walkable. There are bike tours and cooking classes and other events going on. You can also buy breakfast, free tea and coffee the rest of the day.

The best hostel I've stayed in. Compared with other hostels in the area, it's the best price and the best quality. Super clean, very nice staff, nice bathrooms and bedrooms, great common areas. It's the best, stay here if you can!!

This was my first experience of a hostel and a learning curve, however adventurous. People from all over the globe and all were nice, with exception of 1 bad apple. Liked the neighborhood and adjacently convenient location to the city center. Would recommend trying this to add some adventure to your life.

Stayed here in '08 and again in summer of '16. The place has really grown, and not for the better. It is still a nice hostel but the multiple security codes for doors, room doors and luggage room that changes daily is an overkill! Another one of those hostels that asks for shoes to be removed; don't remember having to do that in '08. Seemed like everyone was glued to their phones or laptops in the common rooms this go round. Times do a change! The staff is very nice, but when I was there recently they were severely understaffed. One person working the check-in desk. Also had a problem on check in, booked a 6 bed room and was shown the room only to find out that there were no free beds. Was then placed in an 8 bed room and refunded the price difference. If this was my first and only staying here I would rate it "POOR", but with a much better prior experience I rate this place as average. If I do come back to Stockholm I will look into some of the other hostel options first.

We arrived pretty late that night and no one was at the desk. Fortunately someone noticed us and let us check in, showing us where everything was in a very polite and friendly manner. The place is really clean, modern and nicely designed - can't really fault it. Literally best hostel I've stayed in, ever!

I think it's a nice hostel. fine showers. you can delicious breakfast. there are many young people. it is required to your shoes to do in the hostel. I have heard of a boy that his shoes disappeared were. there you have so be careful with his. we rented bikes for but 6 euro per bike. also you may skating borrow. that is also very nice. there is a large kitchen where you itself may cooking. you can computers use. less fun is that the toilets often are busy because the sinks in the toilets and people there their makeup do. you have sometimes wait until you may.

Sehr gemütlich hier. Die Angestellten sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt kostenlos Tee, Kaffee und Wasser. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Die Betten sind bequem. Allerdings sollte man nicht im Frauen Schlafraum schlafen. Die Lobby ist direkt darüber und man wird durch Getrampel wach gehalten.

Muy bien ubicado, gran decoración y ambiente. Las habitaciones están bien, tiene una cocina amplia y cada habitación su heladera, también hay sobras de comida gratis y pasta a disposición del huésped para cocinar. No pongo cinco estrellas porque hubo una confusión con la habitación y nos sacaron nuestras pertenencias sin avisar, luego aclaramos el inconveniente y se retractaron de una buena manera. Lo recomiendo!

Absolutely brilliant, I had an awesome time! Very helpful and polite staff, place is clean and everything is well organised. Best part though must be the communal areas, met so many great people which literally made my trip. Loved every moment and would highly recommend it.

This place was awesome, very clean, reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and it has a very relaxed atmosphere. They have a minimum number of nights usually, but if they have spare beds they can be flexible which was really helpful to me. The breakfast included is excellent, all things considered and I was full for more or less the whole day. There is a free sauna, which is also very cool. The communal areas are great, people are friendly and no one minded me hanging around for hours in the evening after I'd checked out (passing time until my very early coach to the airport). The luggage storage was also very handy. It's a wonderful hostel, I'd definitely stay here again.

The dorm is clean, the kitchen has everything you need (except it has no oven), lots of fun fellow travellers, located close to central station and some big shopping streets. The breakfasts are nice as well! All in all it was a good place to stay our 3 nights.

I had a 2 night stay at the Hostel and it was great! The hostel itself is clean and cosy, with large communal areas and pretty hip decor. The staffs are always helpful and friendly. It is a very social hostel, so the best part was meeting and hanging out with other travellers! This was my first time staying in a hostel and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Good location and nice decoration both lobby and inside recreation room. Free pasta provided for cooking and big kitchen. There is individual cabinet and separate refrigerators for each house(room) which is great arrangement on this area. By the way you need to pay extra for blanket s which is not included in room rate. Also pls prepare a small lock for your locker in the rrom, otherwise you can buy it at counter.

Everything was perfect in the hostel. Such a great value to stayed in a Scandinavian city where they have pretty cool decorations. The staffs were all very helpful and friendly. Their bed was so far the most comfortable one I found in the hostel, I enjoyed it too much that I almost couldn't get up the next morning. Love their breakfast too. I will definitely wanna come back again next time I visit Stockholm.

Just wrapping up a 4 night stay here, using free internet and computers they provide. Quite a few computers, so no wait. The staff is very very helpful, welcoming, and professional. Helped print out documents for me, helped look up bus times and routes, helped with luggage...super friendly. The rooms are clean and the space is relatively quiet, despite it being fully booked. Lots of mature, respectful guests from around the world. Lastly, it's in a great location. Definitely stay here if you can--worth the money, and very competent staff.

First of all, this is a nice, friendly place to stay. Kitchen is big, fridges for everyone, nice staff, a lot of free stuff, everything is clean. But there are some big downsides: the showers aren't very private, only curtains, which is not too bad, but a hassle. If you got a room in front of the toilets, you gonna have a bad time. Most people are unmindful and noisy, which isn't the hostels fault, but if you locate all three toilets rooms at one spot on a level, well, it is bad for the people next to it. The doors aren't isolated as well. Earplugs are obligatory. I know, it is a hostel and no hotel. But it doesn't mean that sleep doesn't matter. Which is, to me, the most important thing to a place for staying.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in anywhere. Super clean, Great community of travelers, good vibe, nice fairly well stocked kitchen(utensils, cutlery, pots/pans, not food) with tubs and fridges for you to store groceries in. Draws an awesome crowd of folks. Staff is great as well. It's not the sleekest or edgiest spot if that's what you're looking for. Only complaint I have is that there's only two single seater toilets, and only two shower cabins with no places inside to hang your clothes...small drawbacks though... and I stayed a week and never had to wait for showers or toilets. Somehow just worked out.

This was a very great hostel! I loved the atmosphere and it was very clean and safe. The restaurant next door offered food and drink discounts so we were able to drink and eat for fairly cheap. I loved the charm of this hostel and everyone was nice and friendly. Also, they provided coffee and breakfast for free. I would definitely come back here!
